If you love Walt Disney World, a Disney Cruise should be at the top of your list for your next vacation.
After over 30 trips to Walt Disney World, we decided to take a Disney Cruise to Alaska. It’s been 5 years since that first cruise and 6 cruises later I’d have to say we are addicted! Of course, we still visit Walt Disney World, but not nearly as often as we used to with our new found love. If you love Walt Disney World or Disneyland, I believe that you and your family will also love cruising with Disney. I am sharing below why a Disney Cruise should be at the top of your list for your next vacation.
Something For Everyone
Many times people shy away from Disney Cruises because they feel like they will be overrun with kids or all geared towards kids, however, that is not the case. Yes, there will be a lot of families, but there are many spaces and activities that are adult only too. You can find a list of adult-only spaces and activities in this post.
There are also special places for kids. Multiple kids clubs are onboard each ship which are broken down based on age including a nursery for babies (additional fee applies to nursery).
You will also find many activities that are geared towards everyone onboard including drawing classes, trivia, arts and crafts, character meet and greets, music, movies, and shows.
Stress-Free Planning
Unlike at Walt Disney World where you have to plan your dining reservations 180 days in advance and your Fastpass+ reservations 60 days in advance, Disney Cruise vacations are stress-free. You will need to make a decision on if you are taking an excursion or exploring your ports of call, but your amazing and delicious dinner will be waiting for you.
Disney Cruise offers rotational dining, where you rotate between the three restaurants on the ship for dinner, however, your servers remain the same (they rotate with you). Your servers will get to know you and may even have your usual drink waiting for you when you arrive at dinner. Each evening, your meal will consist of 4 courses along with a bread service: appetizer, soup or salad, entrée, and dessert. You can read more about food service on Disney Cruise Line here.
Disney Moments
The amazing experience of cruising and Disney magic creates the best Disney moments. From getting to meet your favorite Disney character to experiencing broadway-style shows to eating Mickey waffles to watching first-run Disney movies your Disney Cruise will be filled with as much Disney magic as you want. All the amazing Disney moments at a more relaxed pace!
Attention to Details
The attention to detail is amazing with Disney! From the theming of the different areas on the ship to the cleanliness of the ship, everything will look it’s best and fit perfectly into the storyline.
Amazing Customer Service
Disney bends over backward for their guests and that level of service continues onto Disney Cruise Line. We have met some of the best servers, room hosts, and activities castmembers on Disney Cruises.
