What is Fastpass+
Fastpass+ is the electronic system for booking rides, shows, and character meet and greets at Walt Disney World so that you can skip the lines or wait in much shorter lines. You can schedule your Fastpass+ reservations online or through the My Disney Experience app in advance.
When Can You Make Fastpass+ Reservations
If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can make Fastpass+ reservations 60 days in advance of the first night of your stay. You can make Fastpass+ reservations up to 30 days out if you are not staying at a Disney resort.
If you are staying at a Disney resort, you can book Fastpass+ reservations for your entire stay starting 60 days before your first day at 7:00am EST. You have a greater chance of getting a Fastpass+ for a popular ride on one of the last few days of your trip.
You can make up to three Fastpass+ reservations for each day of your trip. Each Fastpass+ reservation will have an hour window and these windows cannot overlap. In addition, all three reservations must be made at a single park.
Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios have tiered selections which means only one of your Fastpass+ reservations can come from “Tier 1” and the other two from “Tier 2”. All Fastpass+ attractions at the Magic Kingdom are on the same tier.

Tips For When You Cannot Get the Fastpass+ Reservation You Want
- Make a reservation for the ride you want even if it is not at the time you want and then try to modify the reservation time.
- Try splitting up your group to book overlapping Fastpass+ reservation slots. For example, if you are traveling as a group of 6, try making Fastpass+ reservations for 4 at 12:00-1:00 and 2 for 12:30-1:30 and then the whole group can ride the ride together from 12:30-1:00.
- Keep checking back (especially at the 30-day mark, a week before, the day before and even the day of) to try and modify your Fastpass+ reservations until you book exactly what you want.
- If you are traveling in a group, I recommend having one person in charge of obtaining your Fastpass+ reservations.
How to Book Additional Fastpass+ Reservations
Once you have used your initial three Fastpass+ reservations, you can make another booking for that day at any park and at any tier (if available). You can continue to book additional Fastpass+ reservations as you use your previous one.
Three Ways to Get and Modify Fastpass+
- Online via the My Disney Experience page
- On a smartphone via the My Disney Experience App
- In the parks at a physical kiosk
I really do enjoy the new Fastpass+ reservation system, because it saves me from having to run all over the park getting Fastpasses the old way. I hope you are successful in obtaining the Fastpass+ reservations that you and your family want.
