Unfortunately my team will not be playing in the Big Game, however that will not stop me from watching. Growing up we used to always watch the Big Game together as a family and I have continued on with that tradition. It’s one of the rare times that we sit in the living room and eat dinner while watching the tv.
What do you fix for the Big Game? I want an easy, but tasty meal so that I can spend more time with my family watching football (and those amazing commercials) instead of in the kitchen! So what are we having this year? Red Baron Brick Oven Cheese Trio Pizza, Carrot Raisin Salad (recipe below) and Edwards Lemon Meringue Pie!
When I go shopping at Target, like for our Big Game meal, I always use Target’s Cartwheel App, do you? I always feel like I save so much money at Target between their Cartwheel App, their 5% discount by using their credit/debit card and 5 cent discount for each reusable bag they fill. Right now through February 7, 2016 there is a cartwheel for 5% off Red Baron pizza.
Big Game Decorations
I picked up little ice cream paper dishes in Bullseye’s Playground (former dollar spot) at Target. The colors did not match a football theme, however I cut strips of green construction paper the height of the cups and glued on narrow white lines to look like a football field. I also used chalkboards to draw out a football plays and to use as a tray to hold each person’s food.
Carrot and Raisin Salad
Pizza and football are two of those things that just go together! Red Baron pizza has Crust Perfection in Every Bite! I love to have a side of fruit or vegetables when we eat pizza and the Carrot Raisin Salad can be made ahead of time. To finish off our meal, one of my favorite pies, Lemon Meringue by Edwards. Seriously friends, I was obsessed with making lemon meringue pies when I was in middle school and this thaw and serve pie is delicious!

- 2/3 cup miracle whip
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
