Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. One of the only things I miss about living up north are the leaves changing colors.
There are always so many activities in the fall. Everything from corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and apple picking to fall festivals and fairs. We have several annual traditions and one is to always visit the pumpkin patch. We have been visiting the same pumpkin patch since S was 1 years old: Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch in Hammond, LA.
Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch has swings, slides, bouncing pillows, a merry-go-round, seesaws, a mini zip line, nature trail, corn maze, pumpkin painting, tents for picnics, old carriages for photos and of course lots of pumpkins.
I love the variety of activities to keep S entertained and let me tell you she LOVED the slides (she also yelled down each time to make sure I was ready to take her picture before she slid).
When we are ready to leave, S picks out a pumpkin from the field, which is included in the price of admission (you only pay for children to enter Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch). You can pick your pumpkin at any time; I just do not want to carry it around the whole time, so we always choose before we leave.
I love spending time together as a family and the pumpkin patch is a wonderful annual tradition.

Looks like a fun place. I always plan to visit local, fall attractions and never make time. Hopefully this year, but I’m skipping the haunted house!
If you haunted house is anything like ours I’d skip it too!!!
I love visiting pumpkin patches too! I have one that we go to near my home and it has become a family tradition to go each year as well. I’m loving that picture of S going down the tube slide, great shot Paris!
Thank you Louida! Isn’t great having annual traditions!
LOVE everything about fall!! Especially pumpkin patches 🙂
Yes! I have great childhood memories from pumpkin patches!
How fun! I love taking the kids to a pumpkin patch. We have not gone this year. I love your photos, especially the slide and the old buggy.
Thank you Stephanie!
What a fun day and a must do for Fall, especially with children! I love that antique horse buggy! Cute picture.
Thank you Shirley! I love all their props at the pumpkin patch!
I love pumpkin patches! It looks like you had a wonderful time with your family!
Thank you Tiffany, it’s always a blast!
What a perfect place to play and a great tradition, I don’t think we have the same here so much. Our pumpkin from the supermarket isn’t quite the same though halloween itself is fab. I love your daughters skirt which looks like it is dotted with tiny pumpkins! thank you for sharing a fun tradition on country Kids.
That’s too bad 🙁 I have great memories of visiting pumpkin patches growing up. I glad you have fabulous Halloweens!
I miss fall in the South! We are headed to a pumpkin patch today (Texas) but it is just not the same as back home. (Arkansas)
We are always so hit or miss on weather being in the south, either it’s freezing or it’s 100! 🙂
This pumpkin patch looks so fun! I love the carriage!
It really is great!
We are off to pick our pumpkin for the very first time this year and really looking forward to it. I love the old carriage photo. #countrykids
Thank you Anne! I hope you have a wonderful time!
The colours in these photos are wonderful, with a glorious, golden light. I love the tunnel photograph, so very dramatic.
NIpping over from Country Kids.
Thank you! You are so sweet!
