This year I am looking to add more protein to my diet especially during breakfast to help me last until lunch with less snacking. I am hoping with less snacking I will be able to lose a couple pounds. I always want to look my best and after the holiday season of consuming too many sweets it’s time to get back on track. My family loves peanuts and peanut butter, therefore adding Jif™ Peanut Powder to some of our favorite recipes sounds like the perfect solution.
I had never heard of Jif™ Peanut Powder before, but I am so happy that I have now. Jif™ Peanut Powder has the same amount of protein with 85% less fat as traditional peanut butter. As an added bonus, its made using only one ingredient – fresh roasted peanuts! By cutting back on my fat intake but increasing the amount of protein I consume, I am hoping to reduce snacking which will help me look my best. 🙂
I found Jif™ Peanut Powder at my local Walmart near the peanut butter.
The peanut powder is such an easy way to add the peanut taste to baking items or smoothies. I love that it’s not as messy as traditional peanut butter during baking!
Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins
Peanut Butter Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins is a twist on original banana bread by adding Jif™ Peanut Powder and mini chocolate chips. I enjoy making my banana bread as muffins for ease of serving and they are perfect size to grab for breakfast, a snack or even a ‘better for me’ dessert.
This recipe is so easy to make! Combine all the ingredients together. Pour into muffin pan and bake. Then enjoy! See the full recipe below.
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 bananas (older bananas that are turning brown)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 cups flour
- 6 Tbsp Jif Peanut Powder
- 3 Tbsp water
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Combine in a mixer, melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and bananas and combine. Then add baking soda, flour, Jif Peanut Powder and water. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Once combined, pour mixture into prepared muffin pan (with liners or sprayed with cooking spray) filling the cups 2/3rds full.
- Bake at 350º for 20 minutes.

I like the idea of less fat and will have to pick up some of this Jif powder. Sounds like a great way to add the peanut butter flavor without the extra fat.
