I love picking up vintage pieces at antique stores, garage sales or my current favorite: Goodwill. My local Goodwill sells most of their dishes: cups, plates and bowls for $0.59 a piece with some exceptions. For the most part you can find some really good deals, however it can be hit or miss.
I have found random milk glass pieces: bowls and a mug. I also found a vintage santa mug and book on another trip. On my most recent trip to Goodwill I found a glass with lemons and flowers painted on the outside of it and a funky Florida mug that has an alligator in the bottom of it.
I love to use the random items that I find as a way to organize my desk. I use many of my pieces to hold scrapbooking items, but also to hold office supplies. Mugs, tea cups, bowls and glasses are perfect to hold paperclips, pens, binder clips and stamps.
I also love to use old bread pans to hold notebooks or scraps of paper. A sewing room would look perfect with vintage items holding thread, bobbins, pins and needles.
I cannot wait to see what treasures I might find on my next trip!
How do you organize your office? Do you enjoy picking up vintage items?

Great finds!!! I would love to find some vintage Florida cups for my home to sit around. I love the glass.
Thank you Tammy! It’s fun to visit Goodwill you never know what you are going to find.
That glass is awesome and that FL mug is too cute. I also like that you used an old bread pan to hold your treasures. My local Goodwill never has good stuff. I’m thinking I should go in more often.
Thank you Alli! Some times when I visit Goodwill I end up with nothing and others a bunch! Either way S always ends up with a book; it’s my way of bribing her to go shopping with me 🙂
