We always bring in the New Year as a family (although we never stay up til midnight). I love to make my daughter feel included in the celebration. One fun and easy way to do that is to have a mocktail that she can enjoy. Below are four mocktails that will help you bring in the new year with your kids!
Sherbetini
My daughter loves this mocktail – I think it’s because it contains sherbet, so it’s like a dessert. Add one scoop of any flavor sherbet (we used lime) to a martini glass and cover with lemon lime soda.
Grape Nerds Fiz
A childhood favorite candy – Nerds combined with sparkling white grape juice create a fun fizzing mocktail!
Shirley Temple
A classic mocktail that is a favorite of my daughter’s. The first time she had a Shirley Temple was on one of our cruises and now every time we cruise she has to have her mocktail! To make a Shirley Temple fill glass with lemon lime soda and add 1-2 ounces of grenadine. Optional – top with cherries.
Milk and Cookies
You cannot go wrong with including milk and cookies as a mocktail, right? I love being able to serve the cookies right on top of a milk jar with lid (I picked mine up at Target).
How does your family bring in the New Year?
These mocktails sound so fun! Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday, hope to see you again next week!
