Portholes
These are some of my favorite photos to take on the ships. I love the circle and play on colors; inside the ship is dark and the ocean outside is light. I also love to play with the angles of my daughter. My favorite portholes for photos are off the lobby and the ones located on deck three forward on the Disney Magic and Wonder.
Character Meet and Greets
Not only do you and your child get to meet your favorite Disney characters on the cruise which is worthy of several photos, but capturing the joy and emotion on your child’s face is priceless.
On the Decks
While there is a ton of inside space on a cruise ship, there is also lots of open space on the decks. The open space on the deck will allow for natural light. There are usually several places that you can find that are free of people especially right before or after dinner.
Sunset
One of the magical things about a cruise is that you’ll get to see is the sunset over the ocean. Sunsets out to sea are some of the best! You can also get family members in the photos.
Dressed Up
Whether you are dressed up for formal night or dressed as a character, be sure to get some cute photos of the family and yourself. There will be several themed nights depending on your cruise along with the traditional formal and semi-formal nights.
Get Everyone in the Picture
Be sure to hand the camera off to your partner, the character handler, a family member or friend you are traveling with, or make a new friend and get as many pictures of you with your family as you can!
Ports and Excursions
Depending on your cruise will depend on which ports you visit and which excursions you take. Where ever you visit, be sure to capture the emotion, the scenery, the fun, and your family with yourself included. If you visit Castaway Cay, this post includes all your must-dos on the island.
I hope you have a wonderful family vacation onboard a Disney cruise!
