Would a girl like attending Monster Jam?
Yes! My daughter totally enjoyed watching the Monster trucks compete. It was exhilarating watching the trucks fly through the air, almost tip over, and spinning donuts. The event is made up of four competitions: vertical jumps, obstacle course, donuts and free styling.
The Monster Mutt Dalmatian truck was my daughter’s favorite. Who doesn’t love a truck that looks like a dog complete with floppy ears, a tail and a tongue. Plus during the freestyle competition make sure to watch for the bone that is thrown at the start gate for the truck.
As an added bonus, Monster Mutt Dalmatian truck is driven by females. There are actually two drivers, Candice Jolly and Taryn Laskey, during our event Candice did an awesome job and won the obstacle course competition.
Tips:
- Make sure to bring protective earmuffs for your children and maybe even for yourself. S was lucky enough to be sporting her papa’s earmuffs.
- Be prepared for dust particles. You can’t see the dirt particles but I could feel them in my throat and towards the end my hand felt like I had stuck my hands in dirt. S and I both had to sip water so that we didn’t cough.
- Megasaurus, a fire breathing dragon, could be scary for some children. During the event we attended he came out right before intermission and destroyed a car.

Thank you for the tips! I’ve always wanted to go to one of these but was wondering about certain issues. How are the fumes?
mybigfathappylife says
I only notice fumes when the 4 wheelers were racing not when the trucks were out. It was really fun and different than anything we had ever attended before.

We went to an action packed show with our son’s favorite superheroes that had flames and loud noises. It took him aback initially. Then he relaxed.
I love that you took your daughter!

Thank you Joyce! I am glad that your son adjusted and was able to enjoy the show.

Looks like fun! I missed the last opportunity to go because of pregnancy. I am a big Supercross fan, so I think I would like it. My son, I think he would love it!

I think you and your son would really enjoy the show! I hope the two of you are able to make it to a Monster Jam soon.

My daughter is still talking about the Dalmatian Monster Truck and how she won 🙂

I’m happy to know that girls can enjoy Monster Jam too. I can’t seem to convince mines to go since it is not girly enough for them.

That’s funny! It was an interesting crowd – lots of camo 🙂 But there were lots of little girls too!
