Liebster Award

I had never heard of the Liebster Award until I was nominated by The Queen of a Home, Our Little House in the Country, and Aprons and Shoestrings within a week of each other.  Thanks to each of you for nominating me!  

The Liebster award is awarded to bloggers with under 1000 followers to try to promote their blog a little and also bring together a community of bloggers.

The rules of the competition are as follows:

1. Thank the person who nominated you, and post a link to their blog on your blog.

2.Display the award on your blog — by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”. (Note that the best way to do this is to save the image to your own computer and then upload it to your blog post.)

3. Answer 11 questions about yourself, which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.

4. Provide 11 random facts about yourself.

5. Nominate 5 – 11 blogs that you feel deserve the award, who have a less than 1000 followers. 

6. Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.

7. List these rules in your post.  Once you have written and published it, you then have to:

11 Random Facts About Me

1. I met my husband at work when he jump started my car 14.5 years ago.
2. I work part-time at a Community College.
3. The only alcohol I will drink are fruity drinks, sweeter wines or Moscatos, and cider beers. 
4. I spent 16 years being an Army Brat, it shaped me to be the person that I am today.
5. I have a Bachelor’s degree in both Business Administration and Marketing.
6. I love to read romance novels.
7. I love desserts, especially chocolate.
8. I love to travel and plan to take S to visit all 50 states before she graduates from High School.
9. I am a Disney Fanatic and we visit Disney World at least once a year, sometimes more.
10. I collect Taylor Smith Taylor Cathay dishes.
11. I am going on my first cruise this summer – a Disney Alaskan Cruise.

1. what is your favourite Memory? Holding S for the first time.

2. do you prefer the tv or a book? A book, we hardly ever turn on the TV.

3. what colour is most relaxing to you? aqua/turquoise

4. do you have a hobby? Scrapbooking

5. do you have  pet? One dog, a brindle Boxer

6. what was your favourite subject in school? Physical Science/Chemistry

7. why do you blog? To record our everyday life and the fun that we have along the way.

8. what’s your favourite meal? Mexican, I could eat Mexican every day.

9. favourite movie is? The Notebook

10. what is your truest passion? spending as much time with S that I can

11.what makes you most happy? Traveling, planning a trip, going on the trip and then scrapbooking the trip

1. Why did you start blogging? To record our everyday life and the fun that we have along the way.

2. What is the best job you have ever had? Being a mom

3. What would you tell your 20 year old self? Take advantage of every minute of the day, because soon it will never feel like you have enough time in the day.

4. If money was no option, where would you holiday this summer? Europe

6. What is your favourite song of all time? All of Me by John Legend

7. Christmas or Halloween? Christmas

8. Favourite outdoor activity? Hiking

9. How long have you been blogging? Almost 2 months

11. What is the one thing you will do/have done differently with your children than your parents did with you? We will not being moving every 2 years like I did growing up in the Army.
