Simple tips to help you create a beautiful Easter vignette in your home.
Who’s ready for spring? I know I am! The bluebonnets have started blooming in central Texas and I feel like somehow I missed Easter with it being so late this year!
I have started decorating for Easter. What about you?
I am in love with having an Easter and/or spring vignette. A vignette is a group of items placed together to create a focal point and have a theme. Usually vignettes are placed on entryway tables or as a centerpiece on your table.
I have a three tiered cart that is in my entrance way and I am loving switching the top shelf out for each holiday/season.
How to Make an Easter Vignette
Start by choosing an anchor piece or focal point for your vignette. It could be a birdhouse or a quote for Easter.
Then shop your house to find items that you could incorporate into your vignette. It could be a tea cup or cake stand from the kitchen, linens from the dining room, or a stack of books from the living room.
If you are assembling your vignette on a table top, you may want to use a container like a tray or low basket to hold smaller items and contain your vignette.
Be sure to add depth and dimension to your Easter vignette by stacking or layering items. Also vary the size and texture of items, but try to keep your vignette to only a couple colors.
I mentioned books earlier because I love to use them to lift items when decorating. They allow you to vary the height of items in your Easter vignette. Some other items that would also add height would be candlesticks, cake stand, and stacked plates.
If your vignette doesn’t look quite right, try moving items around, adding to or taking items away. It might take a couple tries before you like the end result.
Have fun! I’d love to see your Easter vignette tag me in your photo on Instagram.
