This decadent milkshake is inspired by Christopher Robin’s dear friend, Winnie the Pooh – Honey Pot Milkshake.
My family went to see Disney’s Christopher Robin movie on opening weekend. It was amazing – definitely one of my favorite movies in recent years. We all immediately said that we wanted to watch the movie again.
I loved the messages in the movie. The obvious message is that your family should always come first and that nothing is as important as your family. However, there is also an underlying message for adults too. A reminder to remain true to yourself and to live creatively and passionately which is what makes your life worthwhile.
With Christopher Robin’s dear friend, Winnie the Pooh, appearing in the movie I wanted to make a milkshake inspired by him. Winnie the Pooh loves nothing more than honey! This Honey Pot Milkshake is the perfect combination of vanilla ice cream and honey!
While the recipe calls for homemade ice cream straight from the machine because it’s soft and creamy, you could use store-bought ice cream blended with milk for creamier texture.
Ingredients
- Vanilla Ice Cream:
- 3 cups skim milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- Honey
- Whipped topping
- Red sprinkles
- Straw
Instructions
- Stir together milk, sugar and vanilla until combined.
- Add to your ice cream machine and churn according to your machine's instructions.
- Drizzle honey onto the sides of each glass. Add one scoop of ice cream straight from the machine into each glass.
- Drizzle some more honey on top. Add another scoop of ice cream and another drizzle of honey to each glass.
- Top with whipped topping, red sprinkles, and a straw.
