It is inevitable that your children will get sick, however being prepared for when a fever strikes will make it easier on you and your child. When my daughter has a fever my go to medicine is Children’s Advil® because it provides effective relief that I can depend on. Children’s Advil® not only brings your child’s fever down faster, but it keeps it down longer with less medicine than Children’s Tylenol, so both child—and mom—can get relief. Below are some hacks that will help you take care of your children when they are feeling at their worst.
Medicine
My daughter does not like to take any medicines no matter what flavor I try. I have found putting the recommended dose of liquid medicine according to package directions in a glass and adding a small amount of lemonade will help her take the medicine without fuss every time. I would recommend using a flavor that will mix well with lemonade like Children’s Advil® in Blue Raspberry.
When giving your child medicine you always want to keep up with when you gave them a dose or if you have multiple people administering the medicine you do not want to overdose or miss a dose. To help keep track of when my daughter has received a dose of medicine, I write a chart right on the bottle and check off as I administer (this works really well for antibiotics). However, for Children’s Advil® where I am going to be using the same bottle over time, I place a small piece of paper on the bottle with some washi tape to write down the dates/times that I gave my daughter the medicine.
Entertainment
When my daughter has a fever, she usually curls up on the couch with a pillow and blanket. I always keep a glass of water nearby with a fun straw so that she stays hydrated.
We tend to stick to low energy level entertainment that doesn’t take a lot of thought such as me reading to her, sticker books or coloring books, a blanket fort and a movie. And my daughter always requests chicken noodle soup to eat!
Stay prepared for when a fever strikes your home with Children’s Advil available at Walgreens in Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors. Or if your child prefers a Grape Chewable or an easy-to-swallow small tablet.

Even with all the fun flavors of Children’s Advil, my girls sometimes give me grief too. We usually stick to grape so that we can add it to juice and let it go by undetected…mostly. #client
