Need a fun indoor activity due to rain or heat? Have you tried glamping! S and I often pull out sheets and blankets and turn our living room into a campground. After making the Starlight Lantern from Kiwi Crate, we thought the perfect activity was to camp in style = glamping.
We set up the blankets draped over the backs of chairs, grabbed some books that centered around camping, nighttime, etc., and some toys may have made their way into our tent. Turned on our Kiwi Crate Starlight Lantern. And no glamping trip is complete without s’mores!
Our s’mores was Goldfish s’mores (graham and chocolate fish with mini marshmallow fish). I used a vintage inspired thermos that I picked up at Target to hold our milk. I placed our snacks on a ceramic tray/platter that I found at Goodwill.
I read to S while we enjoyed our snacks by lantern light. When I finished with our books, S continued to play in our tent with dinosaurs, Doc McStuffins and Stuffy.
We had a fun playing in our tent and I can’t wait for more glamping fun this winter!

I love the Little Critter books! My mom used to read them to me and I can’t wait to share them with my children. It looks like y’all had a great time! π
Logan they were my favorites too! I love looking for the mouse, cricket or spider on each page. I also loved the Berenstain Bears. Luckily I have all my books from when I was a child to share with S.
Your first name is my last name! π I love the thermos. Reminds me of the ones my mom used to have!
That is so cool Lindsey!
What a fun idea! And my little guy would love to hide inside as he calls it.
Thank you Stephanie!
What great summertime fun…
Thanks Tiffany!
I’ve been hearing a lot about glamping. My girls and I never have done it but it looks like a lot of fun!
I think your girls would have fun glamping – no getting dirty required π
Love it. Looks like my absolute dream when I was young1! π
It would be so fun to be curled up reading while it rains outside.
I think the only way I could camp at all (glamping included) is inside so I would love to try this out!

This is a way to go camping for sure!!! I mean this is right up my alley!! I would love to do that with my nieces!
I hope you and your nieces enjoy!
This looks so cute, my kids love to make tents at the dining room table. I love Kiwi Crate too one of our favorites!
Thanks MJ!
This is such a lovely idea, I have to try this with my boy when he’s a bit older, he’s 17 months now and never stays still but I think this is something we’d both enjoy π Thanks for sharing!

It was lots of fun Fiona!
Cute idea for kids
Thank you Temeka
When I was a kid, our tent was always made from a card table with a blanket draped over it. We’ve had to get more creative because we don’t have a card table – because you’re right, this is my kind of camping!
I remember using a table too; also the couch with the cushions as the walls!
I love this!! Plus I have to say you have a beautiful daughter π Like mother like daughter!

Thank you Nancy, you are so sweet!!!
Glamping- as close to “roughing it” as I will ever get!
Such a fun alternative π
My boys love to make forts out of their bunkbed. I will have to inform them that they are glamping.
LOL!
I love this idea – we have a tent set up permanently in our playroom and I might have to glam it up for Miss E – oh and I love that vintage thermos!
Thank you Clare, there is something about tents and forts that kids just love!
This is my kind of camping!
Yes, inside with ac, bathroom and food π
Super sweet idea! Pinned. Lou Lou Girls
