I am really enjoying using a sketch to help me scrapbook 12×12 layouts again. While I used to scrapbook 12×12 layouts; in recent years I’ve only scrapbooked using pocket pages, so this sketch helped a lot.
The new September sketch from Sketch~N~Scrap was the perfect layout for these two photos that I had taken after our nightly walk when S was 1.
I used glimmer mist to change the color of older cream letter stickers. I do not have a lot of large size alphabets since I do all of my current scrapping with the pocket style system (ie: Project Life). I did not have the perfect color, so in came the glimmer mist.
I felt that the Fancy Pants Circus paper was the perfect complement to the green of the swing in the photos. I also really loved adding in the die cut pieces from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection. However, I also mixed in some older October Afternoon products.
I sewed around the outside edge of the layout and wrote my journaling right on the layout since the background was light enough.
And one more layout added to S’s album!

This is so cute! It turned out so good. I used to do a lot of scrapbooking, but it’s been forever. I need to get back to it!

My blog is an online baby book for Connor but at the same time, I fill in and complete a baby book for him monthly that goes from birth to 5. I think it’s so important for our little ones to have a physical keepsake of their childhood.
That’s awesome Stephanie! He is going to love being able to look back!
I used to adore scrapbooking! Such great memories, and so much fun. You did a great job!
