Easy Chocolate Twists
I made two versions of chocolate twists one using both Once Again Almond Butter and Once Again Organic Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate and one only using Once Again Organic Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate. The one that included Almond Butter was less sweet than the one that only included Once Again Organic Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate. If you are wanting to eat these chocolate twists for dessert I recommend only using Once Again Organic Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate.
Starting with puff pastry, unfold on a lightly floured surface, and lightly roll the pastry with a rolling pin. Spread 1/2 of the Once Again Almond Butter onto the pastry leaving a 1-inch border all the way around. Then spread Once Again Organic Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate on top. If you are only using Once Again Organic Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate, skip the almond butter step.
Starting at the longest end, tightly roll the pastry into a log and then slice the log in half (the long way). Pinch the top of the two halves together using a little bit of water and then carefully twist the two pieces together. When you get to the bottom, pinch the two halves together using water. Repeat the same steps for the other piece of puff pastry.
Place the twists on a baking sheet. In a small bowl, whisk an egg and then brush the tops of the twists with the egg. Then bake the twists for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove the twists from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 10-15 minutes before drizzling Once Again Organic Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate over the top, slicing and serving.
