This season have a DIY Indoor Snowball Fight with your family by making your own snowballs using homemade pom-poms with this simple tutorial.
Several years ago my daughter and I had an indoor snowball fight using all of daddy’s socks balled up into a “snowball”. Both of us had a blast, so when I found this metal container at Target last year I knew that I want to make DIY snowballs so that we could have more indoor snowball fights without dirting all of the socks in the house.
These pom-pom snowballs are easy to make and are just perfect for your next indoor snowball fight! If you are looking for more holiday family activities, check out this post.
Supplies:
- White yarn
- Pom-pom maker
- Scissors
Directions:
-
- Open one half of the pom-pom maker and begin wrapping yarn around it. I wrapped my yarn pretty thick so that they were extra fluffy. Then clip that half-closed and repeat with the other half.
- Use scissors to cut through the center, along the groove, of the wrapped yarn. Repeat on the other side.
- Cut a length of yarn and wrap it through the middle (where you just cut). Tightly knot it. Repeat a second time to make sure it is secure. Cut off the excess yarn.
- Unclip the two sides and gently, pull apart the pom-pom maker. Trim the excess yarn so your pom-pom looks presentable.
- Continue making pom-poms until you have enough to have a great snowball fight!
