Disclosure: My Big Fat Happy Life was provided a Creation Crate for review; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
When I saw Creation Crate, I knew that it would be a perfect daughter-daddy activity. Creation Crate has developed a better way to teach you how to build electronics and coding. They provide hands-on projects combined with online courses. Their awesome projects are a great way to encourage and expand your child in STEM.
While circuits and sensors may seem intimidating, Creation Crate breaks the steps down to help you understand the basics of building electronics.
S previously created a Mood Lamp and Memory Game with Creation Crate. I love that Creation Crate builds upon what you learned in the previous month to continue to grow your knowledge.
This time S assembled the Bluetooth Boombox! This is such a fun project because, in the end, you have speakers that you can play music from your phone on! I also loved that the box the components were sent in was the boombox that the assembled components fit back into.
S placed all the jumper wires and terminal blocks by herself. I loved being able to watch her figure out how to attach the components.
The moment of truth that all the pieces were assembled correctly is always a little nerve-racking. We searched our phones for the Bluetooth device and then the music started playing from the boombox – YES!
I am so proud of how well she did assembling the Bluetooth Boombox. Not only did S have fun assembling the project but now she can listen to her favorite music!
Creation Crate is a great project to keep your children learning throughout the summer in a fun way!

I love the STEM lessons behind this! My boys looked at me crazy when I used the term “boombox” so I had to explain. I may have to check into this for a summer activity. Our local library will love this, too!
