Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I love all the twinkling white lights, the scents of the season and spending time together with my family. Our family has dinner and opens Christmas presents on Christmas Eve, but Christmas morning is just as important. We always have Breakfast Cheesecake (don’t worry the recipe is below) with a Hallmark Ornament on each plate.
Hallmark Ornaments
I am not the only one who loves to browse Christmas products, am I? While I was at Walmart, I spotted Hallmark Ornaments on an end cap in the seasonal section. The Hallmark Ornaments included 16 Walmart exclusives with everything from Holiday Barbie, Disney princesses, Star Wars, Peanuts figurines and more! I also found a couple of Hallmark Ornaments in the card section of Walmart with all the Christmas cards.
When choosing an ornament for each person pick one with special meaning. It could be their favorite character, signifies something that has happened in their life (new house, new baby, etc) or a trip that was taken. You can never have too many ornaments.
Breakfast Cheesecake Recipe
As I mentioned above, this recipe is an annual tradition that always makes it onto our Christmas morning table. One of the reasons I love this recipe (besides that it tastes amazing) is that I make it on Christmas Eve morning and place it in the fridge for Christmas Day. So I do not have to cook on Christmas morning, which means I get to spend more time with my family!
- 2 packages of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 packages of cream cheese (8 oz)
- 1 egg separated
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup of sugar + 1/3 cup of sugar
- Spray 13x9 inch pan with cooking spray.
- Then spread one can of crescent roll dough in the pan and press together perforations.
- Mix cream cheese, egg yolk, vanilla and 1 cup of sugar together. Spread on top of the dough.
- Place the second can of crescent rolls on top of the mixture (do not worry about the pieces being separated).
- Lightly beat the egg white and brush on top of the crescent roll dough (you will not use all the egg white). Sprinkle remaining sugar on top.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
- I prefer to make the Breakfast Cheesecake a day ahead, refrigerate and serve chilled.

That cheesecake recipe looks delicious! And I love Hallmark ornaments, too. I’ve already given all the grandkids their 2015 Christmas ornaments to go with their collection I started for them when they were born. They get to hang it on their upstairs tree that they decorated all by themselves. I love those that you showcased, too!
