These adorable Carrot Patch Dirt Cups are perfect for spring and easy to make using store bought pudding cups, topped with crumbled chocolate sandwich cookies, and chocolate-covered strawberry “carrots”.
My family loves pudding cups and dirt cups. In fact, I remember having pudding cups in my lunch box growing up. I decided to put a new spin on the old favorite of dirt cups for spring. This is the perfect Easter treat that looks like little planted cups of carrots. But totally edible and simple chocolate heaven.
These carrot patch dirt cups were a huge hit in my house! My daughter loved the Easter/spring theme and is now requesting that I make more dirt cups with different themes!
Starting with store bought pudding cups means that these Easter inspired dirt cups come together in a flash. All you need are the pudding cups, a package of chocolate sandwich cookies, fresh strawberries, and a package of orange candy melts. That means just four ingredients for this sweet little spring project!
Carrot Patch Dirt Cups
Melt the candy melts according to the directions. Holding a strawberry by the leafy green part, dip it into the melted chocolate and twirl it so it’s completely covered. Or use a spoon to help cover the strawberry. Set strawberries a parchment-lined baking sheet.
After all of the strawberries have been dipped, use a spoon a drizzle candy melt lines over the coated strawberries to give them a carrot-like appearance. Set aside so the chocolate can harden.
Remove the cream center from about 12 chocolate sandwich cookies. Place the chocolate cookies in a sandwich bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Open the pudding cups and spoon a thin layer of the cookie dirt onto each pudding cup.
Place one of the strawberry “carrots” in the cup and finish by spooning additional chocolate cookie dirt around the carrot to make that it’s planted in the dirt.
