Batman™ v. Superman™ Cereal Bar

Every Saturday and Sunday morning my husband makes us breakfast, so my daughter and I thought that it was time that we put together a fun breakfast for my husband.  A cereal bar would also be perfect if you had family visiting, for breakfast after a sleep over, a unique party or just for fun!    

For my husband a Batman™ v. Superman™ Cereal Bar with General Mills new cereals Batman™ Chocolate Strawberry and Superman™ Caramel Crunch is the ultimate breakfast option due to his love for Super Heroes.  I do believe that 90% of his casual shirts have a super hero on them, so he is very prepared for the new movie Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.  Which leads me to the question are we team Batman or team Superman?  We have a divided house with my daughter and I voting for Superman and my husband voting for Batman.

Cereal Bar

First I created a paper banner using scrapbook papers in blacks, navy, red and yellow for Batman™ and Superman™.  I cut one triangle by hand and then used it as a template to cut the remaining nine.  Then I punched two holes near the top edge of my banner and fed jute (you could use string, ribbon, yarn, etc.) through.  To keep my banner equally spaced I used washi tape to adhere the jute to the back of each banner piece.  If you did not want to make your own banner, you could pick one up at a big box store, arts and crafts store or party store.

To assemble the cereal bar, I dumped each box of cereal Batman™ Chocolate Strawberry, Superman™ Caramel Crunch and Trix into clear glass containers and placed milk in a clear pitcher.  I hung my banner on the wall and placed everything on a long narrow table including bowls and spoons.
