We went blueberry picking in July at a local U Pick Farm. We had fun picking blueberries and even ran into old neighbors, but boy was it hot out. S did a great job picking and trying to fill up her own container. However, after about 5 pounds of blueberries S was done.
With so many blueberries that needed to be used, I had to find or come up with some recipes! After enjoying our Banana Bread Muffins with Chocolate Chips previously, I wanted to try the same recipe with blueberries (minus the chocolate chips).
We loved these Blueberry Banana Bread Muffins. S seriously munched them down. They are perfect for breakfast, a snack or a healthy dessert. Throw one in the kids lunch box or take one to work with you.
Side note: I am in love with these parchment cupcake liners. Your muffin/cupcake does not stick to the liner, so perfect muffins/cupcakes every time.
I hope you’ll try this recipe. Enjoy!

- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 1/2 cups very ripe bananas
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup of blueberries tossed in flour
- Blend butter and sugar together. Then add in the eggs and bananas. Add in the flour and baking soda.
- Toss blueberries in flour and then fold in blueberries into batter
- Place cupcake liners in the pan and fill the liners 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake at 350* for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
I love all things blueberry yet have never tried a blueberry banana muffin. Pinning now to make this weekend!
Thanks Stephanie! I hope you enjoy!

Yum… I love banana bread but have never put blueberries in it. I will have to try this out. Oh and I love that you made them into muffins…makes it perfect for an on-the-go breakfast or snack
Thanks Heather! I love them as muffins for that very reason – so easy to grab for a quick breakfast or snack.
Yum Paris! Your muffin looks great! I have yet to go on a farm and pick fresh fruits. I know the girls and I would love to do this some day. Thanks for the recipe, I’m pinning for later.
Thanks Louida! Your girls will have so much fun!
Blueberries are way up on the list of my fave berries. My brother-in-law has a blueberry orchard and I freeze lots of berries to have year round. Your recipe looks so tasty!
That’s so cool! Next year I am picking even more. We ended up going through the blueberries faster than I expected.
Sounds scrumptious! I love blueberries and these sound like a great quick breakfast.
Thank you Ginger! I love them as a quick breakfast or snack.
May I say “YES” to a warm blueberry muffin and a tall glass of milk. I was first introduced to blueberry muffins during college and have been in love since.
I’ve never picked fruit before. It’s time that I try it.
These are so yummy hot out of the oven, but they are good the next day too. You should totally go picking sometime, it’s fun!
I have never been blueberry picking, but I would like to take the kids sometime. Those blueberry banana bread muffins look delicious with all of those big blueberries in them! Yum! The chocolate chip version sounds yummy, too!!
Thank you Carrie, they are both so good! Your kids will have fun berry picking!
These look sooooo delicious Paris! As a lover of blueberry muffins I have to try these, love the touch of added banana. Pinning this page! 🙂
Thank you Fiona!
Love the idea of making this recipe in muffins. Perfect individual sizes.
Yes, so nice for on the go too!
Yum! I LOVE blueberry muffins. Have you ever tried applesauce or pumpkin puree in muffins? I don’t mind butter, but those two substitutions make them extra moist. 🙂
I’ll have to give them a try Elaina, thank you for the tip!
I just finished up the last of my own blueberry baking after this past season’s picking trip. I hadn’t thought about combining them with banana bread – I’ll have to remember to try it out when next year’s season opens!
The blueberries in the banana bread is wonderful!
These look really delicious. I never had blueberry banana muffins before. Pinned.
Thank you Melissa!

Yummy! I love blueberries. We helped plant 2500 blueberry and blackberry plants in SE Oklahoma this spring. This past summer we got to pick blackberries. I can’t wait until next year when the blueberries and even more blackberries will be ripe! Pinned your post on my recipes board.
Wow, that’s a lot of blueberry and blackberry plants! You are going to have so much fun finding ways to eat all that fruit.

These look really good. We have had years with LOTS of blueberries… but that hasn’t happened for the last few years….. I miss the bags and bags of blueberries in the freezer. 🙂 Thank you for sharing this.
Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits. Our local U pick farm was full of blueberries this year, however I know last year they didn’t even open. 🙁
These look ah-mazing. I’m definitely gonna have to try these when we go blueberry picking next spring! Thanks for sharing at the Homestead Blog Hop this week!
Thank you Lindsey! They are a favorite!
This summer I picked 23 pounds of blueberries at our u-pick! Still have plenty in the freezer to use for this kind of goodies. Thanks for sharing at the Homestead Blog Hop, hope to see you there again this week.
I wish I still have some leftover, but we finished them off. I’ll have to pick more next summer 🙂
