We have approached one of my favorite times of the year…Fall Football! I love getting together with family and friends, dressing up in team shirts, drinking Coca-Cola®, eating delicious food, and creating wonderful memories together.
Food is always a huge part of all of our football get-togethers, however, I like to spend the majority of my time with my guests and family watching the game. That’s why I am sharing an easy recipe where the majority of the cooking can be done ahead of time with only assembly and baking at the time of the party. These BBQ Chicken Sliders with Coca-Cola® Sauce are a crowd pleaser!
No football party is complete without Coca-Cola® it always pairs well with homegating or tailgating. In fact, Coca-Cola® is the only soft drink that is served in our house – we are team Coca-Cola®!
BBQ Chicken Sliders with Coca-Cola® Sauce
For the Coca-Cola® BBQ Sauce:
Combine in a saucepan over medium heat: ketchup, brown sugar, Coca-Cola®, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until hot and bubbly.
Combine cornstarch and water to make a slurry and stir into your bbq sauce to thicken. Once combined and thickened, remove the pan from heat.
For the Sliders:
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Slice the rolls in half. Place the bottom half of the rolls in an 8×8 rimmed baking dish. Spread the shredded chicken evenly over the rolls.
Top with the barbecue sauce, onions, swiss cheese, and parsley.
Add the top half of the rolls and brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter. Bake for 10 minutes, until the bread is golden brown. Slice into individual sliders and serve.

I picked up all my ingredients including Coca-Cola® using Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup Service. I love how easy and convenient it is to order my groceries and stock up on everything I need for homegating or tailgating or everyday life online.
When my order is ready, I just drive to my Walmart, check in on the app, and they load my groceries into my car for me. If you have not tried Walmart’s online grocery pick-up, I highly recommend it!
