As my daughter is set to start first grade this year; I am reminded of how education has played a big role in my life. When I was growing up it was never a question of if I would attend college, but where I would go. After I graduated from college, I even worked for many years at the local community college. My father spent 20 years in the Army with many of them being in teaching roles, so it really comes as no surprise that after retiring from the Army he now teaches middle school math.
As a parent, I want my daughter to have the access to a great education. I know that having a great education will help her pursue her dreams of becoming a marine biologist. Sadly though many school are facing huge budget crunches. Schools are looking for ways to add additional funding to help purchase books, computers and supplies. The Box Tops for Education program is an easy way that I can give back to my local community and it does not cost me anything. Just clip, send and earn!
Plus, right now thanks to Walmart’s 5-for-1 Box Tops initiative you will receive 4 extra Box Tops on specially marked packages of General Mills products! That means your local school will receive $0.50 for each product that you purchase and turn in to your school ($0.10 per Box Top).
I picked up some of my favorite General Mills products on a recent trip to Walmart. Cheerios™ are the perfect start to the school day, Gushers™ are a delicious addition to any lunch box and Pillsbury™ cookie dough bakes quickly into a perfect after school treat.
You can make an impact on your local school too! Learn more about the Box Tops for Education program here.
Will you be clipping Box Tops for Education for your school? Or tell me how Box Tops has helped your school with extra funding.

Your daughter is so pretty, love all of that blonde hair! My daughter is starting 2nd grade, but 1st was such a ‘big school’ transition last year for her! That chalkboard looks fun, especially for writing out her letters. Box tops are so great for schools, I’ve been collecting them since my kids were in preschool!!
I would love for you to stop by my box tops post if you have time: http://www.curlycraftymom.com/2016/08/find-out-why-box-tops-are-worth-all.html
