I love to travel whether it’s flying around the world, driving across the country or taking a cruise. If it’s a two week road trip with our camper or a day trip to explore locally as long as I’m on an adventure I am always happy. No matter where I am headed my purse is always packed with the same essentials for travel.
Let’s start with what type of purse I prefer for travel. I like to have a large purse to hold everything plus enough room to throw my DSLR camera in if I want to. I also like to use a purse that has a cross body strap because it keeps my hands free and I do not have to worry about it falling off my shoulder. My purse needs to have several pockets because I like to have items separate for ease of finding what I am looking for.
What’s in my Purse?
- Wallet
- Extra® 35-stick Pack of Gum in Spearmint or Polar Ice®
- Hand Sanitizer
- Sunglasses
- Lip Balm
- Emergency Kit including pain medicine, sunscreen, band-aids, antibiotic ointment and motion sickness medicine
- Phone
- Portable Charger for my Phone
- Camera
- Bottle of Water (look for a bottle that keeps water cold for 24 hours and does not sweat)
- Snack (like a granola bar)
Tip: I like to group items together in my purse in clear plastic zipper pouches. For example, my portable charger plus cord in one pouch and my emergency kit is all together in a pouch.
Let’s talk about the new Extra® 35-stick pack of gum. These larger packs of gum feature more product which makes them perfect for travel because you will have more to share with family and friends. I also really like that the gum is in durable, recycled packaging which means my gum will not get smashed in my purse. I easily found the 35-stick packs of Extra® Spearmint and Polar Ice® at the checkout lanes during my most recent trip to Walmart.
When traveling whether we are flying or road tripping, we always reach for Extra® gum after meals for fresh breath, when changing altitude during a flight or just for fun to give us something to chew on. With the new larger packs, I can share and not have to worry about running out.
What do you always have in your purse when you travel? Have you tried the new Extra® 35-stick pack?

I haven’t ever used essential oils; I’ll have to check them out.
