Is Easter one of your favorite holidays? My daughter loves Easter. It’s right behind Christmas in order of favorites. I think it’s because that Easter Bunny was a smart one hiding eggs everywhere!
I loved having my Valentine’s Day banner up on my fireplace mantel and missed the decoration when I took it down. So I decided to make an Easter Banner using book pages and bunnies.
I took an old paperback book that was already falling apart and tore out six pages. Using a template that I cut from a scrap piece of paper, I cut the six pages into a banner shape. I used my cricut to cut six 2.5 inch circles out of a piece of scrapbook paper. You could use another die cutting machine or a punch if you do not have a cricut.
Using this printable, I hand cut out six bunnies and then glued a circle and a bunny to each book page. I folded over the top edge of each banner around a piece of jute (you could also use ribbon, yarn or string) and stapled it back onto the banner.
I got the Bunny “Egg Hunt” sign in Bullseye Playground (former dollar spot) at Target. Since I usually do not decorate for Easter this is the perfect little bit for me.
Do you decorate for Easter?
