Do you get hungry mid-afternoon? I always need a snack or pick me up right around 3:00pm to help get me rejuvenated for the rest of my day. While it’s easy to reach for chips and soda, I have found a better for me solution. My Dairy-Free Granola Trifle pairs perfectly with the new Silk Nutchello – a nut-based beverage. I am in love with the Dark Chocolate & Walnut flavor, but there are two additional flavors: Caramel Almond & Cashew and Toasted Coconut & Cashew.
While shopping at my local Walmart I found the Silk Nutchello in Dark Chocolate & Walnut in the refrigerator section near other Silk products. Just a reminder that this is a newer product, so all Walmart’s may not have it on their shelves yet.
The Dark Chocolate & Walnut Nutchello is smooth, decadent dark chocolate and roasted walnuts with only 90 calories per serving. The combination of Dairy-Free Granola Trifle and Silk Nutchello has me ready to tackle the rest of my day satisfied. All the Nutchello beverages are best when poured over ice.
My Dairy-Free Granola Trifle has layers of creamy Silk Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative, crunchy granola and fresh strawberries and blueberries. You could substitute any fruit that you have at home including raspberries, blackberries, bananas or mangos.
The last time I was making my Dairy-Free Granola Trifle, my daughter walked in the room and said “oh mom that looks delicious” and then preceded to eat my whole snack! I guess I am going to have to start making two!
- 1 container of vanilla Silk Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative
- 1/2 cup granola (your favorite)
- 1/2 cup fresh fruit (I used strawberries and blueberries) (sliced as needed)
- In a glass, spoon in half of the container of Silk Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative. Top with 1/4 cup of granola and 1/4 cup of fresh fruit.
- Add the remaining Silk Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative to the glass. Then top with remaining granola and fruit.
- Enjoy!
- Pairs perfectly with Silk Nutchello!

Sometimes, the simplest recipes are the tastiest! I often forget/don’t think about adding granola to my plain/vanilla yogurt. But, I bet it is amazing. Thanks for the tip! I’m going to try it the next time I have Silk Nutchello on hand! #client
