In Store
VeggieTales toys can now be found in the toy department at Walmart. If you are looking for one of these awesome toys make sure to poke around or ask an associate. My VeggieTales display was on an end cap along the back wall in toys. Trust me it was worth the time to find the toys because nothing is cuter than a plush Larry to hold. (I am partial to Bob, but S is in love with Larry).
Imaginative Play
Your child can take their new VeggieTales toys on an adventure of their own, recreate a favorite episode or play along while a VeggieTales show is on. Having a VeggieTales toy to play with definitely brings the shows to life.
S is fascinated by the Hairbrush song and had a ball “brushing” Larry’s hair!
Life Lessons
As a preschool homeschooling family, I am always looking for resources to assist with teaching S. I was so excited to see that VeggieTales offers a Parents section that includes Episode Discussion Guides. These guides are full of helpful tips on discussing the lessons in each episode with your child including questions to ask to promote understanding of the lessons. There are also coloring pages and an activity page available.
Lots of love has been shown to Larry since we adopted him from Walmart. He has had his tooth brushed, stories read to him and both S and my husband wanted to sleep with him. Of course, S won out and I caught Larry snuggled up under her cheek while she slept. He is the perfect size.

I just love VeggieTales! We use their curriculum in our nursery at church and I’ve bought several of the DVDs over the years. I’ll have to check out the new VeggieTales toys at Walmart. What a great gift idea.
