I remember when I was in elementary school making cinnamon applesauce ornaments for my mom for Christmas. Last year I decided to try making the same cinnamon applesauce ornaments with S.
They’re easy to make and only require a couple household ingredients. These ornaments maintain their cinnamon smell for years! I still have some small gingerbread men from when I was in elementary school and they still smell like cinnamon.

I love making these ornaments and they smell so good! I’ve got some I made a few years ago and when I’m unpacking my ornaments to decorate the tree, I get a whiff of them. They haven’t lost their smell at all. I need to make some more.

I love to pull these ornaments out every year! I am always amazed that they still smell so good.

I know this smells so good. My kids would try to eat it I would have to put it high up on the tree.
mybigfathappylife says
Definitely not for eating! But they do smell awesome!

Wait! You had a chance to make these lovely crafts in elementary school. π I was so deprived. I know the classroom smelled heavenly. These could be used outside of Christmas as potpourri.
mybigfathappylife says
So sorry! I love your idea of using them as potpourri! I am going to have to give that a try!
Louida says
What a cool craft! I never heard of this and they didn’t do this with us when I was in school. π My girls would probably eat it before it is made, lol!
mybigfathappylife says
It is a lot of fun to make, but no eating it! π
Nancy says
