My first experience with scrapbooking was when I was in middle school, however I did not fully get into scrapbooking until I was in College. I know a lot of people do not start scrapbooking until they have children, but I used scrapbooking to tell my story (an extension of my daily journal) and as a creative outlet.
However after I had my daughter, it’s no surprise that she became the primary focus of my scrapbook layouts. The photos that focused on the scenic or artistic photos I no longer scrapbooked. I started to really miss this and even though I have stacks of stories to tell (mostly about my daughter) I decided that scrapbooking what I really want to at this moment in time makes me a complete, happier person.
I pulled out some photos that I had taken at a recent fair that I really loved. Next I started digging through my supplies to find the right items to go with the photos and the story I wanted to tell. I attached the photos with overlays and slides and the journaling block to the pattern paper. I placed three embellishment groupings around my photos and journaling block to form a triangle. I used similar supplies in each embellishment grouping: map washi tape, black and white word stickers, a puffy sticker and a yellow enamel dot.
I really enjoyed creating this layout!
