Are you looking for some fun winter vacation ideas? Here’s a list of some best winter vacation destinations for your next family trip.
If you are looking for some fun, unique winter vacation ideas I’ve got a list below that will have you ready to book your next trip. From national parks to Caribbean cruises, hopefully, there is something that you may have not thought about before.
Zion National Park
This picturesque national park located in Springdale in southwest Utah is filled with massive cream, pink, and red sandstone cliffs reaching up to the bright blue sky. The beautiful scenery only gets more gorgeous when you happen to visit when snow is covering the trees and has fallen on the peaks of the cliffs.
The winter months are much quieter than the summer months for visitors. Since winters tend to be mild in Zion National Park it makes Zion National Park a great winter travel destination. You can read all about my tips and must-do for visiting Zion National Park here.
Colorado Hot Springs
There are so many hot springs located in Colorado that it makes staying warm easy during the winter months. We stayed at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge which allows you to enjoy unlimited access to their hot springs pool and complimentary breakfast. The rooms at the lodge are large, clean, and updated. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time at their hot springs pool which was the perfect place to ease your tired muscles.
Caribbean/Bahamas Cruise
If you are looking to escape to warmer weather, a Caribbean or Bahamian cruise would be a fantastic option. There are so many different itineraries to choose from you are bound to find some new islands to explore or old favorites. Plus with cruise ships leaving from numerous ports, you might not have to travel far to get on board.
My personal favorite cruise line is Disney and you cannot go wrong with a cruise that stops at Disney’s private island – Castaway Cay! During the winter months, Disney tends to sail from multiple ports with Bahamian, Eastern Caribbean, and Western Caribbean sailings. You can read more about cruising with Disney here.
Hawaii
Another warm weather option is Hawaii! The islands are absolutely beautiful with lots of wildlife, exquisite beaches, and captivating sites to explore. Each island is different from the others offering new experiences on each.
Kauai has dramatic mountain views and plenty of natural beaches to explore. The big island is home to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and black sand beaches. Oahu is the most populous of the islands and offers exquisite sights to explore including Pearl Harbor and white sand beaches. Maui is known for its spectacular beaches, gorgeous views, and views of migrating humpback whales (during the winter months). You can read more about what to do and see in Hawaii here.
