My family and I just returned from an amazing four-night Bahamas cruise on the new Disney Wish cruise ship. We visited Disney’s private island – Castaway Cay and Nassau, Bahamas. The new cruise ship is gorgeous and we had a blast experiencing and discovering it!

I am sharing below everything that you need to know about sailing on the new Disney Wish cruise ship.
Staterooms
Designed with families in mind, Disney Cruise Line staterooms are equipped with plenty of storage space and feature artwork/decorative touches that celebrate iconic Disney animated films. Most staterooms feature a split bathroom which allows multiple people to get ready at the same time.
Dining
Worlds of Marvel (Deck 4, aft)
One of the main three dining rooms, Worlds of Marvel, will allow you to leap into your own heroic rule to shrink and grow objects at your table using the interactive Quantum Core while you join Ant-Man and the Wasp during “Avengers: Quantum Encounter”. This action-packed Avengers mission will unfold around you while you enjoy a menu inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (classic all-American fare to rich African flavors).
1923 (Deck 3, aft)
Another main dining room is 1923 which evokes the glitz and glamour of old Hollywood. This restaurant is named after the year that The Walt Disney Studios was founded. The dining room is decorated with storyboards, sketches, and props that illustrate the early animation process. The menu is inspired by flavors throughout the Golden State (California). This dining room is also where sit down breakfast and lunch were each day.
Arendale – A Frozen Dining Adventure (Deck 5, aft)
The last main dining room at the Disney Wish is the world’s first Frozen-themed, theatrical dining experience: Arendale – A Frozen Dining Adventure. You are invited to celebrate Queen Anna and Kristoff’s engagement with festive musical performances from Elsa and Olaf. You will enjoy enchanting music and a flurry of Frozen friends while you enjoy a menu that includes hearty Norwegian-inspired cuisine.
Counter Service
On the upper decks, you can grab a quick bite to eat at the Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods. There is a large variety of choices at the various food stations: Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill, and Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream.
Marceline Market
This free-flow food hall (replacing the traditional buffet) is named after Walt Disney’s childhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri. In the food hall, you will find 10 food stalls with an ever-changing menu including American classics, international specialties, comfort foods, seafood, vegetarian and plant-based fare, baked goods, and desserts.
Entertainment/Onboard Activities
Hero Zone
A combination of action-packed physical challenges and game-show-style competitions can be found at the Hero Zone. Hero Zone can include a sports court, game floor, playground, movie theater, and more. The Incredi-games is hosted here usually on Nassau day, however, be sure to check your Disney Cruise Line app.
Disney Uncharted Adventure
The first-of-its-kind interactive experience takes Disney storytelling to new heights with Disney Uncharted Adventure. An unknown evil force attacks the Wishing Star and Captain Minnie needs you to help navigate the ship to bring back the Star’s powers. Using your mobile device, you will embark on quests that will let you interact with the ship in a new way and join some of your favorite Disney characters on a multidimensional search for magic.
Shows/Theaters
Two Movie Theaters – Wonderland and Neverland, Deck 4, mid
During your cruise, you will be able to catch first-run films inside Wonderland Cinema and Never Land Cinema which are inspired by Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland.
Luna Theater, Deck 4, mid
The Luna Theater is an entertainment venue where you can enjoy live music, comedy acts, and family game shows. It features family fun by day and elegant entertainment at night.
Walt Disney Theater – Nightly Broadway-style Shows, Deck 3, forward
Every evening enjoy an evening show at the Walt Disney Theater. Select nights you will be entertained by Broadway-style shows that take some of your favorite Disney stories and turns them into live fantasy. The Disney Wish includes a one-of-a-kind theatrical adaptation of the beloved 1989 Disney animated film, The Little Mermaid. Other shows will include Disney Seas the Adventure – an embarkation celebration that provides a fabulous musical voyage with some favorite stories and Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular.
Pools/Water Activities
The upper decks on the Disney Wish will include 10 pools and water play areas inspired by Mickey and his pals. There is also Toy Story Splash Zone for toddlers with larger-than-life “rubber” bath toys and the Slide-a-Saurus Rex family slide.
First-Ever Disney Attraction at Sea
The AquaMouse is a new, first-ever Disney Attraction at Sea that is out of this world. You will join Mickey and Minnie on an exhilarating water adventure inspired by Mickey Mouse’s animated shorts. This exhilarating water experience allows you to glide up, down, around, and off the side of the ship through 760 feet of twisting tubes before splashing down into a lazy river.
Kids’ Clubs
So many different areas within the kids’ clubs that there is something for everyone to enjoy! Children ages 3 to 12 can participate in the Avengers, Star Wars: Cargo Bay, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, or Fairytale Hall. There is even a slide entrance to the kids’ clubs from the Grand Hall.
Young Avengers are invited to train alongside some of their favorite Marvel Super Heros, including Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and The Wasp in the Avengers section.
In Star Wars: Cargo Bay, “Star Wars Galactic Creature Keepers” is a fun-filled immersive experience where kids step into a high-tech cargo bay and are put to the test to secure the ship.
Kids will get a behind-the-scenes peek at how Disney magic is made and use their own imaginations to design their very own roller coaster and climb into a specially designed capsule to actually ride it at the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab.
In Fairytale Hall, kids can craft at Rapunzel’s Art Studio, act out stores in Belle’s Library, or even create their own ice magic at Anna & Elsa’s Sommerhus.
Tweens and Teens
A colorful New York City-inspired hangout, Edge, is for tweens from 11 to 14 years old. They can relax, make friends and play games. Teens ages 14 to 17 can chill out at the Vibe—a laid-back space where they can watch movies, enjoy games and take the occasional selfie. Older teens and young adults can check out The Hideaway, an all-new space designed just for them. All of these fun kids club areas are supervised by the coolest counselors at sea.
“it’s a small world” Nursery!
The “it’s a small world” Nursery is a daycare center on deck 2 inspired by the Disney attraction with the same name for children 6 months to 3 years of age. While visiting, children can relax and play while being looked after by specially trained counselors.
Mickey & Minnie Captain’s Deck
The Mickey & Minnie Captain’s Deck is designed for the littlest cruisers on the ship. This nautically themed space is complete with activities and games, including pipe slides, ship’s wheels, and more for lots of fun.
Lounges/Bars
Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge
While being transported throughout the Star Wars galaxy enjoy out-of-this-world concoctions in this one-of-a-kind lounge: Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge. While during the day families are invited to visit Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge, but at night the lounge becomes adult-only. This is one of the top spots to visit on the Disney Wish. Keg & Compass
Inspired by the folklore of Norwegian seafaring and exploration, Keg & Compass is the place to stay up to date on news and sports. This lounge offers three unique craft beers available only aboard the Disney Wish. Be sure to look up at the maritime map that spans the entire ceiling and try to spot all the Disney references.
Nightingale’s
Right off the Grand Hall is Nightingale’s which is a sophisticated piano bar inspired by Cinderella’s rendition of “Sing Sweet Nightingale”. The decor at Nightingale’s is modern but fanciful and is the perfect spot to savor fine wine while listening to an enchanting melody.
The Bayou
My daughter’s favorite lounge was The Bayou which is inspired by the animated film The Princess and the Frog. It has New Orleans-inspired refreshments and beignets. The lounge features a canopy of twinkling fireflies overhead and is home to live music and other fun events.
Adult Only Areas/Activities
Cove Cafe
Treat yourself to coffee, cocktails, and baked goods at Cove Café, an adults-only lounge. While the drinks are an additional fee, it is the perfect place to relax and read a book or magazine.
Quiet Cove
This adults-only refuge has an infinity pool, bar, and poolside lounge. The Quiet Cove is separate from the family activities and spans an entire section of the ship’s upper decks.
The Rose
Adult-exclusive lounge, The Rose, is reminiscent of the enchanted castle from Beauty and the Beast.
Palo Steakhouse
With a warm, tranquil atmosphere and spectacular ocean views, Palo Steakhouse offers a scrumptious selection of premium steaks and exquisite Italian dishes. The amazing brunch is also very popular at Palo Steakhouse and requires advance reservations. This restaurant requires a fee.
Enchante
Inspired by Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast, this adults-only restaurant has innovative international cuisine crafted by 3-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement. This restaurant requires a fee or a la carte pricing.
Enchante Dessert Experience
This 5-course dessert menu and coffee includes an in-depth discussion with the Executive Chef and Executive Pastry Chef. This experience requires a fee.
Senses Spa and Fitness
A nature-inspired oasis, Senses Spa offers beauty treatments and a relaxing Rainforest complete with heated lounges, fountains, an aromatherapy steam room, a dry sauna, and a calming pool. Outside you can relax in the shade under specially designed canopies and take a dip in the refreshing outdoor pools.
Untangled Salon
At Untangled Salon, a salon inspired by Rapunzel, you can get a variety of fabulous treatments, including hairstyling.
Hook’s Barbery
Inspired by Captain Hook’s private quarters aboard the Jolly Roger, Hook’s Barbery offers shaves, hairstyling, and nail and skin care. If guests are 21+, they can participate in whiskey, bourbon, and rum tasting during their treatments at Hook’s Barbery.
