Here’s an easy shortcut to make homemade cinnamon rolls that requires very little hands-on time in the kitchen. The end results are delicious warm, ooey-gooey cinnamon rolls start from your oven at home!
This easy short cut uses crescent roll dough which is a great base for cinnamon rolls. I take another shortcut and use cream cheese frosting for the top of the cinnamon rolls, however, you can make a quick glaze instead. You could also add any of your family’s preferences like nuts and/or raisins to the cinnamon rolls.

Easy Cinnamon Rolls
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Drizzle cream cheese frosting over the cinnamon rolls.
Or whisk together cream cheese, milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla until glaze is formed. Add milk to get the desired thickness. Then drizzle over cinnamon rolls.
Ingredients
- 2 packages crescent rolls
- 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 Tablespoon flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- Cream cheese frosting or use glaze recipe below
- 3 Tablespoons Cream Cheese, softened
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk, or more as needed
- dash of vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and pinch the seams together.
- Mix together melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread the mixture evenly on top of the crescent roll dough.
- Start from the longer end and roll up dough.
- Place rolls into a greased pie pan or casserole pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
