When we bought our house, there were several things that needed to be updated. Every room needed new paint, but the kitchen and bathrooms needed a lot more work. They needed to be lighter, brighter, and more modern – farmhouse inspired.
The first room to get totally made over was the bathroom. New tile, vanity, toilet, mirror, light, baseboards, and paint rounded out the bathroom makeover. Let’s look at the before:
I knew that I wanted the bathroom to be neutral in gray tones. This is a classic combination that will still be in style for years to come. I started by painting the walls and ceiling Silver Sky from Baer. Not only did I have to cover up the pink that the previous owners had painted the bathroom but they were also messy and got paint all over the ceiling. Ugh!
I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect bathroom vanity. I knew once I found the one it would be easy to pull the rest of the pieces together!
It just happens that the vanity from Wayfair also came with a sink and countertop. I love the raised cabinet design with the cabinet painted grey. The clean lines and modern drawer and cabinet pulls help create the feel and look I was going for.
With the countertop being white marble I went with a darker gray tile from Home Depot for the floor. I am in love with the shape of this tile and also put it in my half bath!
This faucet is a mixture of beautiful, simple design style while being modern with an amazing ribbon water flow.
