All this week I am sharing ideas for having an amazing 4th of July holiday! Be sure to check back on Wednesday for an extra special holiday drink for the kids!
Do you throw a party or cookout with friends and family for the 4th of July? We always spend time together with family having a BBQ and watching fireworks.
When planning a 4th of July party, remember you do not have to spend a ton of money on decorations! Stick with the traditional red, white and blue color scheme and gather items from around your house. Also, be sure to grab some American flags or flag-themed decorations.
I used a garden box that I had from Magnolia Market at the Silos and filled one side with blue and white star straws. The other side I stashed a stack of napkins.
I also like to decorate using items that we will use during our party because they fit the theme too. These snaps and pops the kids will love to use at the party (with adult supervision).
You could also include the party menu. Either handwrite the menu, type it up and place it in a frame, or place the menu on a letter board. Speaking of food, we always have hamburgers and hot dogs, potato salad, and fresh fruit on the 4th of July.
Tip: Set your party table from left to right – its the natural way similar to reading a book. Start your buffet with the plates, then food, and last utensils, napkins, and drinks.
Do you usually host 4th of July get-togethers? What is your favorite party tip?
