Have you ever had the kind of morning where everything went wrong? A bad morning. Where your alarm clock didn’t go off and you barely got dressed before running out the door? Have you felt like the universe was against you? Did you get where you were going only to find out that you were wearing two different shoes? Oh, has that’s only happened to me? Seriously friends! I had to go the whole day wearing two different shoes hoping that no one would notice!
We all have these type of mornings, so I thought I’d share with you how I get through a bad morning when everything just seems to not go your way.
Breathe
Sometimes you just have to stop, clear your mind, count to 10 and breathe. When you are frazzled and panicked you cannot think clearly. Stopping to breathe will help you calm down and allow you to relax.
Sing/Dance
Acting silly can make you happy and turn your whole day around. Turn on the music in the house and sing and dance! If you are in the car, turn up your music and sing as loud as you can. Music always lifts me up and improves my mood.
Eat Something That Makes You Happy
We all have food items that make us happy, whether it’s chocolate, breakfast sandwich or ice cream! Ice cream always makes be happy especially when I can customize it just the way I like it at RaceTrac’s Swirl World. Trust me RaceTrac will allow you to buy ice cream or frozen yogurt in the morning and no one will look at you funny! How do I know? Because I may have done it myself! My store had 9 varieties of ice cream and frozen yogurt to choose from plus a huge toppings bar (up to 41 toppings) to customize mine just the way I wanted!
RaceTrac has a great offer to lift your spirits in January: buy a breakfast sandwich, get any size coffee for $0.50. Pretty sweet deal to help turn your morning around!
The next time you are having a bad morning, remember to breathe, sing and eat something that makes you happy!
