We always have our big trip for the year planned out well in advance, but many times we schedule smaller trips closer to the time of travel. Last year we visited Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, Manitou Springs, Colorado, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Gulf Shores, Alabama, Walt Disney World and many weekend camping trips and local exploration. I cannot wait to see where 2017 takes us. Here’s a look at our travel bucket list for 2017:
Northern Europe Cruise
Our big trip this year will be a Northern Europe Cruise that starts in Copenhagen, Denmark with stops in Tallinn, Estonia, St. Petersburg, Russia, Helsinki, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden. We are beyond excited for this trip!
It is my husband and daughter’s first trip to Europe and I have not been to Europe since we moved when I was 7 from Germany (my dad was in the Army). In addition, I have never visited any of these countries and truthfully never thought that I would ever get to Russia. My daughter seems to be most excited to get to see a Russian ballet.

Iceland Stopover
We are flying Icelandair and on our return flight from Europe, we will be taking advantage of the free option to have a stopover in Iceland. We will spend two nights in Reykjavik while we take in some of the sights.

Beach Trip
I would also like to squeeze in a beach trip this year, even if it’s just for the weekend. My daughter loves to visit the beach and we haven’t been since our trip to bring in the New Year last year.

Camping
There will be many weekend camping trips! Mostly to local state parks just for the weekend or an extended weekend. We do not have plans for a big camping trip this year like we did last year to Yellowstone; maybe we will do a larger trip in 2018. I love our camper and love to travel with it!

Arkansas Diamond Crater State Park
I have wanted to visit this state park for two years now! We’ll have to see if we can make it happen this year.
