My daughter has always loved to read, but she never wanted to branch out from the books and series that she knew. She also never wanted to read “large” books. One day I got her to try a new book that was new to the library and she loved it! Now every time we visit the library she fills her bag with books from the new rack along with books from authors that she has enjoyed. We have one rule when reading new books if she doesn’t like the book she does not have to finish it.
My daughter is 9 years old and in 3rd grade. We are always trying to find books that are age appropriate and fun for her to read. Below is a list of books that my daughter has enjoyed reading. I hope this list helps your child find a new favorite book or series to read.
